1b3_Activity 4b_Minimally Invasive Education

Really honest thoughts:  Children who are from families with superior financial resources have many more opportunities for the learning of ICT than less fortunate children. The different experiments in India revealed that children can learn almost anything if given adequate resources.  The use of ICT  by Indian students to overcome the MTI in English Language was quite informative.

2_A_4_self Activity 6B- symbol Distribution
Still learning.  .  Information overload.  Need to spend time learning the processes. Trial and error is too consuming. Took me forever in Assignment 1.  However, experience IS my greatest teacher in these applications.

It was enlightening to learn that Vygotsky theorized about thoughts I have always held personally as an educator, that educators should meet students at their 'point of need' and treat every content matter as a one size fits all.

Module 1B3-Activity 1- my personal conclusion

ICT in education seems to be the buzz word around all educational circles.  I think that ICT can be useful as the literature implies.  However, I also think that it ICT instruction needs to be planned and carefully monitored. If not properly monitored, it can be more of a hinderance than a help.

Module 2A4- Activity 2- reflections

Using my ICT skills in word processing to complete our Thank You cards make the cards more personal.  I was able to add a photo of the graduation and personalize the words tosuit the occasion.

As long as we can afford the coloured ink.

COL Feedback

Technology in Education.  Great start.  Challenging for the IT- challenged.  I can now appreciate how the students feel when they are struggling with a concept.
